The Humana Walmart/Sam’s Club Retail Program places independent Medicare agents inside participating stores during AEP. Agents staff an approved table, speak with customers about Medicare options, and conduct enrollment appointments on-site.

The weekly staffing requirement has been reduced from 30 hours to 20 hours.
A new tier-based flat-fee model replaces the prior per-enrollment structure.
Retail enrollments must be submitted through the Walmart-specific SunFire instance.
The program has been updated to improve cost predictability, reduce weekly staffing demands, strengthen reporting, and make store allocation more strategic.
Final dates remain subject to change. Advantage Plus will provide confirmed dates, store availability, payment instructions, and required documents as they are released.
Qualifying prior-year participants may be allowed to reclaim eligible stores.
Available stores are expected to open on a first-come, first-served basis.
A later round may be held for remaining stores during August or September.
Complete training, SunFire setup, program documents, and initial scheduling.
Staff the store, conduct appointments, and report all activity in SunFire.
Each location is assigned a performance tier based on prior program results. Within each tier, meeting or exceeding the enrollment benchmark reduces the final store fee.
Higher performance location
Goal: 35–60+ MA enrollments
Mid-performance location
Goal: 20–35+ MA enrollments
Entry performance location
Goal: 10–20+ MA enrollments
Be certified or recertified with at least three participating carriers in the market by September 10.
Complete all required Humana Walmart/Sam’s Club retail program training.
Review and sign the required retail program code of conduct.
Log a minimum of 20 hours per week at the assigned retail location.
Process all program enrollments through the Walmart-specific SunFire retail instance.
Follow all store, carrier, CMS, reporting, scheduling, and conduct requirements.
