The Conversation Framework

The goal is not to defeat an objection. Use it to understand what the beneficiary actually cares about, verify the facts and help them make an informed decision.

Better Conversation Rules

  • Answer the concern actually raised; don't immediately pivot into a sales pitch.
  • Clarify whether the real issue is access, cost, trust, convenience, family input or fear of change.
  • Verify providers, prescriptions, pharmacies, eligibility and plan details using current sources.
  • Never make a recommendation from one supplemental benefit alone.
  • Use specific current plan documents when discussing benefits and costs.
  • Give the beneficiary room to decide. Education builds trust better than pressure.

Compliance Guardrails

  • Never claim to be Medicare, CMS, Social Security or the federal government.
  • Avoid unsupported “best,” “#1,” guaranteed savings or universal-benefit claims.
  • Never invent or suggest a Special Enrollment Period that does not apply.
  • Use current disclosures, Scope of Appointment procedures, call-recording procedures and approved materials when applicable.
  • Do not guarantee future provider participation, formulary status, benefits or costs.
  • When an exact rule matters, verify current CMS and carrier guidance.
