Application Submission & Cut-Off Procedures
Please review these important enrollment submission procedures before Fridays, weekends, holidays, and month-end deadlines. Timely submission helps prevent processing delays, missed effective dates, and carrier issues.
Important Cut-Off Reminder
Any business conducted on Fridays after 5:00 PM, weekends, holidays, or near month-end must be handled with urgency. Applications must be submitted directly to the health plan when required, sent within 24 hours of the signature date, and received before the end of the month.
What Agents Must Do
These procedures apply to enrollment submissions during after-hours periods, weekends, holidays, and month-end deadlines. Please do not wait until the next business day if the application may miss a required carrier submission window.
- Submit directly to the Health Plan when business is conducted after the cut-off, during weekends, holidays, or near month-end.
- Send the application within 24 hours of the beneficiary signature date.
- Make sure the application is received before the end of the month to avoid missed effective dates.
- Keep proof of submission, including confirmation numbers, screenshots, fax confirmations, or email receipts.
- Do not hold applications over weekends, holidays, or month-end deadlines.

Check the Deadline
If it is after-hours, a weekend, holiday, or month-end, submit directly to the carrier when required.
Submit Properly
Use the carrier portal, fax, or email instructions required for that plan and market.
Save Proof
Keep confirmation numbers, screenshots, fax receipts, and email confirmations for your records.
What to Include With Every Submission
To help avoid delays, missing information, or rejected enrollments, please make sure your submission is complete.
- Completed and signed enrollment application.
- Correct enrollment cover sheet, if required.
- Agent name, NPN, phone number, and email address.
- Beneficiary name and effective date requested.
- Carrier and plan name.
- Scope of Appointment or required compliance documentation, when applicable.
- Any carrier-specific forms or supporting documents.
- Proof of submission saved for your records.
Month-End, Weekend & Holiday Reminder
Month-end, weekend, and holiday periods create additional risk because carrier processing windows may be limited. Agents should submit as early as possible and avoid waiting until the final hours of the deadline period.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wait until the next business day to submit an after-hours application?
No. If business is conducted after the cut-off, during a weekend, on a holiday, or near month-end, the application may need to be submitted directly to the health plan. It must be sent within 24 hours of the signature date and received before the end of the month when applicable.
What if the application is signed near the end of the month?
Submit it immediately and directly to the health plan when required. Month-end applications are time-sensitive, and delayed submission may result in a missed effective date.
Should I keep confirmation proof?
Yes. Always save screenshots, confirmation numbers, fax receipts, email confirmations, and any carrier portal submission records.
Can I submit by fax or email?
Yes. Applications can be submitted by fax to (818) 538-7555 or by email to Apps@AdvantagePlusIns.com when appropriate. For after-hours, weekend, holiday, or month-end situations, direct carrier submission may still be required.
Who should I contact if I am unsure?
Submit a General Support Request or contact the Agent Support Team before the deadline. Do not wait until after the deadline has passed.
